1. Introduction

The institute, founded in April 2019, is the pilot innovation platform under the Faculty of Materials Metallurgy and Chemistry of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. It takes "win-win cooperation" as the development concept and relies on the advantages of the first level dominant discipline of first-class discipline in Jiangxi Province, Metallurgical Engineering. The institute revolves around the major needs towards the development of digitalization, intelligentization, and informatization in national process industry, and brings together the collaborative innovation elements of deep integration of multi-disciplines for metallurgy, chemical engineering, computer, electrical automation, information engineering, etc., to focus on solving the common technical problems of digitization and intellectualization in the efficient development and utilization of copper, rare earth, tungsten, steel and other characteristic resources. A series of key core technologies, software, and equipment have been developed to serve the leap-forward development of the chemical and metallurgical process industry towards intelligent manufacturing in our province and the country.

The research laboratory area of the institute is about 1000 m2, and the total value of the equipment exceeds 8 million yuan. The institute has built the experimental platform of rare earth cascade extraction pilot scale automatic control platform, water model frame system for iron and steel smelting process, transparent electrolytic cell for molten salt electrolysis, high performance simulation calculation system, flash smelting nozzle feeding cold model system, and bottom/side blowing metallurgical furnace water model system, and purchased the scanning electrochemical microscopy, electrochemical workstation, spark direct reading spectrometer, ANSYS, Fluent, EDEM, COMSOL, Factsage, Thermal Calc and other hardware and software equipment, independent research and development of metallurgical process calculation and online control system development platform (Metcal), copper flash smelting flash blowing online optimization control system (FSF, FCF), copper converter blowing dynamic numerical simulation system (CFS), rare earth cascade extraction simulation optimization control system (EDS), ion exchange system More than 10 sets of metallurgical process on-line digital analog intelligent control systems, including process dynamic simulation system (IESS), flash metallurgy on-line intelligent early warning system (ff-eic), have formed a relatively complete metallurgical process simulation technology research and development system.

At present, the institute has 12 full-time and part-time teachers, 11 doctors, 2 professors, 1 associate professor and 8 postgraduates. In recent five years, it has undertaken more than 10 research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level, such as national 863 and National Natural Science Foundation of China; published more than 60 high-level academic papers, including more than 30 SCI / EI papers; authorized more than 10 invention patents and software copyrights; won 4 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards and 1 provincial teaching achievement award.

A number of research results have been promoted in China ENFI Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., China Ruilin Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., Changsha Nonferrous Metallurgy Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd., Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd., Yuguang Gold lead Co., Ltd., Jiangxi Copper Group Co., Ltd., Jinlong Copper Co., Ltd. and other large metallurgical backbone enterprises It has achieved great economic and social benefits.

4. Members Profile

Li Mingzhou, born in November 1980, graduated from non-ferrous metallurgy major of Central South University with a doctor's degree. He is mainly engaged in metallurgical process simulation and intelligent optimization control, short process enhanced clean metallurgy and other fields. He presided over 2 provincial projects (No.: 20171bab206024, gjj160635), 4 projects entrusted by enterprises and 6 projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (No.: 5176401851664022515640155640175116401351004054). More than 10 metallurgical simulation softwares, including Metcal platform, copper flash smelting + Flash converting online digital analog optimization control system, side blowing furnace metallurgical online digital analog system, have been successfully applied in domestic large-scale backbone enterprises and scientific research institutes. The results of simulation research in the fields of recycled copper smelting and "double flash" copper smelting won the first prize of Jiangxi science and Technology Progress Award (No.: j-16-1-04-r08) and the third prize of Anhui Science and Technology Progress Award (No.: 2016-3-r3) respectively. Since 2015, it has published 5 SCI and EI retrieval papers, authorized 1 national invention patent and 2 software copyrights.

Prof.Yang Shaohua was born in March 1975. In March 2008, he graduated from Northeastern University, majoring in nonferrous metal metallurgy, and received his Doctor of Engineering degree. Mainly engaged in the research of molten salt electrolysis and molten salt electrochemistry. He has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and participated in 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects.He presided over the Natural Fund Project of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education "Research on the New Process of Electrolysis of Magnesium Metal with Molten Salt" and PhD Initiated Project "Preparation of Al-Si-Fe Terternary Alloy by Molten Salt Electrolysis".Participation of strontium aluminium alloy prepared by molten salt electrolysis expanded experiment, wind power grid 3000 a experiment research, the core of aluminum electrolysis aluminium factory boride titanium cathode industrial experiment research, chinalco anodic oxidation coating industrial experiment and magnesia as raw material of aluminum magnesium alloy prepared by molten salt electrolysis, electrolytic load coupling mechanism of the grid wind power systems research (973 project number: 2007 cb210305).In recent years, more than 60 papers have been published, of which more than 40 are the first authors, 23 have been indexed by SCI or EI, and 2 patents have been applied for.Revier of foreign journals Royal Society of Chemistry, International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Current Applied Physics, etc.

Prof.Gan Lei graduated from the General Institute of Iron and Steel with a Ph.D. degree in Metallurgical Engineering in January 2012. His main research interests include thermophysical properties of metallurgical melt, energy conservation and environmental protection in metallurgical process, etc.Hosted or participated in 3 national projects, 4 provincial and ministerial projects, and 2 horizontal projects.He has published more than 10 SCI and EI papers as the first author or corresponding author, and has applied for 2 invention patents.

Huang Jindi received his PhD degree from Central South University, majoring in non-ferrous metal metallurgy, mainly engaged in metallurgical process simulation and intelligent optimization control, material metallurgy multi-scale simulation and other fields.He presided over one provincial project (No. : GJJ170527) and participated in one project of National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. : 51764016) as a key member.As the main developers involved in developing MetCal computing platform, tank tank furnace temperature field real-time computing systems, petroleum coke particles under spherical coordinates system, the mathematical model of carbon rotary kiln pyrolysis model to calculate the system, the microstructure evolution of materials sintering process simulation system, metallurgy process analytical calculation expression system and so on more than 10 a metallurgical class simulation software.Since 2015, he has published 6 SCI and EI indexed papers and 5 software Copyrights as the first author and corresponding author.

Zhang Bin graduated from School of Energy Science and Engineering of Central South University, majoring in thermal energy engineering, and obtained his Doctor of Engineering degree.Mainly engaged in numerical simulation of metallurgical equipment and research on energy saving technology.Hosted a provincial project (No. : CX2013B065), participated in the completion of the enterprise commissioned project of sintering machine thermal characteristics and energy saving technology research.5 papers have been published and 3 papers have been indexed by SCI or EI.

Li Zhengquan graduated from Monash University in November 2016 Australia, majoring in chemical engineering, mainly engaged in multi-phase flow computer simulation and digital design research of chemical metallurgical equipment. He has presided over one provincial scientific research project, one university-level scientific research project, and three university-level innovation and entrepreneurship and new engineering projects.He has participated in 2 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project of National 863 Project and 2 Australian ARC Projects.At present, the journal has published many SCI/EI papers, and supervised 1 master student.
