1. Introduction

The Institute of Advanced Metals and Functional Materials was established based on Jiangxi Province’s "Thirteenth Five-Year" key disciplines and specialty metal materials engineering and materials physics majors, closely combining the strategic needs of the automotive, electronic information, and new energy fields, as well as the advantageous non-ferrous metals in Jiangxi Province Resources, focusing on special research directions-non-ferrous metals and cutting-edge new materials preparation, forming, surface modification and application, new technologies for the preparation of special functions and cutting-edge materials such as copper, magnesium, titanium, nickel and carbon nano Research on new technology, surface functionalization and related functional applications.

It currently has 11 personnel, including 2 professors, 7 associate professors, 2 lecturers, and 9 doctors. Since the establishment of the Institute, it has undertaken 9 National Natural Science Foundation of China, more than 30 provincial and ministerial projects, and more than 10 enterprise-entrusted horizontal projects. Some research results have been transferred to enterprises, more than 100 high-level academic papers have been published, and 30 patents have been authorized. The remaining items have won 5 provincial and ministerial awards.
